Who we are

The SAYN is the voice of neurology trainees in Switzerland. The Swiss Association of Young Neurologists (SAYN) was founded by a group of young and enthusiastic neurology trainees on October 31st 2014 at the annual meeting of the Swiss Neurological Society (SNS) in Interlaken.

The SAYN is organised as a subsidiary of the SNS and structured into a board and a core group, which includes the SAYN Local Representatives (1-2 representative per ‘A’ Neurology Department in Switzerland).

The SAYN Board is advocating for neurology trainees in the SNS Board, the Board of the Swiss Association for Clinical Neurophysiology (SSCN/SSNC/SGKN), and in the National Representatives Network of the Resident and Research Fellow Section of the European Academy of Neurology (RRFS-EAN). However, the SAYN is in close contact and collaborates with other (particularly ‘young’) societies within Switzerland, e.g. the Young Clinical Neuroscientists (YouClin).

The SAYN is driven by people who share the idea of continuously improving neurology training and education, and thereby strengthen Neurology, primarily in Switzerland but also in Europe and the rest of the world. We believe that this can only result from collaboration, unity, and a strong sense of community. If you want to know more about us, browse through the rest of our website, follow us on social media, or simply become part of our community by signing up here. If you want to play a more active part within the SAYN, or in case of any questions, feel free to ask your local representative or contact us directly.
