SAYeNce Travel Grant

The Swiss Association of Young Neurologists (SAYN) aims to support scientifically active members with the SAYeNce travel grant. The grant shall enable the awarded SAYN members to present their scientific work at a specific conference in the field of Neurology.


Regulations

  • Every year, the SAYN awards the following grants:

    - One grant valued CHF 500.- for an international congress taking place outside of Switzerland.

    - Two grants valued CHF 200.- for the SNS annual meeting (incl. SFCNS) or for an international congress organized within Switzerland.
     

  • Calls for the SAYeNce travel grant will be published on the SAYN website and across SAYN social media accounts. Decisions will be communicated to the applicants by email within two to three weeks after the submission deadline.

  • The proof of abstract acceptance and the certificate of congress participation must be sent to young-neuronoSpam@imk.noSpamch within one month after the congress.
  • Only applications for congresses following the submission deadline will be considered.
  • The SAYeNce Travel Grant can only be awarded once. Unsuccessful applicants are eligible to apply to future calls, however, the abstract must differ substantially from prior applications.
  • By applying for the SAYeNce Travel Grant, applicants agree to have their name published on the SAYN website if successful.

Eligibility criteria

  • SAYN membership
  • No other award or funding for the congress.
  • Not received the SAYeNce travel grant before.

Application material

  • Cover letter (max. one page). Please specify at which congress you want to present your work and what your contribution to the presented work was.
  • Abstract which shall be or was submitted to the corresponding conference.
  • CV and list of publications (if there are any).

All of the above documents must be sent in a single PDF file (in the predefined order) to young-neuronoSpam@imk.noSpamch by midnight on the deadline date, with the subject ‘SAYeNce Application’.
