Brain Health School Project

Our brain health shapes every aspect of our lives. The Brain Health School Project aims to raise awareness amongst children in Switzerland of the importance of brain health and to encourage them to inspire those around them to take a healthy approach to brain health.

This project is an initiative launched in Europe by the European Academy of Neurology (EAN). One or several classes from a school may submit a poster, a short video, a song, a text, a comic strip, a dance performance, etc. The projects will be presented during the 1st Swiss NeuroWeek, taking place from 18 to 20 November 2026 in Bern.

“Move your Brain” Step Competition – A Great Success at the EAN Congress 2026

As part of the EAN Congress 2026, the Swiss Neurological Society (SNS), in collaboration with the Swiss Federation of Clinical Neuro-Societies (SFCNS), the Swiss Brain Health Foundation (SBHF), and the Brain Health Mission, organised the “Move your Brain” Step Competition.

Many congress participants enthusiastically joined the initiative by tracking their daily steps throughout the congress. The competition highlighted the importance of regular physical activity and its positive impact on brain health in an engaging and motivating way.

12th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology – Geneva 2026

A successful first edition in Switzerland

From 27 to 30 June 2026, Geneva hosted the EAN Congress for the first time in Switzerland. The Swiss Neurological Society (SNS) was delighted to welcome the international neurology community to this prestigious event, bringing together experts, healthcare professionals, researchers, trainees, students and patient representatives for four days of scientific exchange and education.

The SNS was honoured to contribute to this landmark event, which provided an inspiring platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing and the advancement of neurology.

SFCNS Brain Health Plan

With the "SFCNS Swiss Brain Health Plan" (SBHP), our country has the opportunity to be among the very first to implement concrete solutions for the appreciation, promotion and protection of the brain across the entire lifespan. To meet this enormous challenge, more awareness, education and research, as well as novel, integrated public health approaches and patient empowerment are needed.

Swiss Brain Health Foundation

The foundation works to raise awareness of brain health, develops interdisciplinary educational programmes, and supports research into brain diseases, their prevention, early detection and personalised treatment. It is also committed to promoting public health and providing guidance and support to those affected and their families, both in Switzerland and internationally.
