The European Stroke Organisation (ESO) brings together clinical experts, researchers and national specialist societies with the aim of improving the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and aftercare of strokes throughout Europe.
Prof Dr Urs Fischer has been involved in stroke research and care for many years. He leads international, multi-centre studies on the optimisation of stroke therapy. His work has contributed significantly to the further development of modern treatment strategies. Fischer is also co-founder of the Stroke Centre Bern.
